Paying for College | Financial Aid

Financial aid officers at each of our campuses can help you apply for grants, loans, work-study and scholarships to achieve your educational goals. Our financial aid officers are here to:

  • Provide you with information on eligibility requirements
  • Explain your rights and responsibilities when you receive financial aid
  • Help you plan a budget and
  • Help you address other financial concerns.

Determining Financial Aid

To be eligible for financial aid, a student must:

  • Be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  • Have a high school diploma, a GED certificate, or demonstrate the ability to benefit from the educational program pursued.
  • Demonstrate financial need as determined by the free application for federal student aid (FAFSA).
  • Enroll in an approved certificate or degree program and take required coursework.
  • Be registered with the Selective Service, if required.
  • Not owe a refund or repayment on prior financial aid received, or have a student loan in default at these or prior colleges attended.
  • Make satisfactory academic progress as defined by each campus.

After completing a financial aid form, our financial aid officers will determine how much you are expected to contribute toward your education expenses for the academic year. Student expenses include estimated school and basic college living expenses for the academic year. The remaining balance is how much aid you are eligible for.

Types of Financial Aid

There are several types of financial aid, including:

  • Grants, scholarships and waivers that do not require any repayment—many of these programs have unique timelines and requirements so don’t wait to apply; check them out now.
  • Employment through work-study programs
  • Loans that are repaid according to the loan program requirements.

Don’t let concerns about financial aid keep you from applying to our colleges! We strongly encourage you to contact a financial aid officer at one of our campuses for further information.
